Pediatric Dentistry

Our pediatric dentists provide oral health evaluation, education and intervention to children from birth to the age of 18. Our team approach (faculty, residents, students and staff) to patient care is unique and maximizes not only the quality of dental care provided, but also the education of our pediatric dental residents and pre-doctoral student dentists.

We specialize in providing dental care to medically compromised and special needs children as well as otherwise healthy children. We have an established network of specialty colleagues throughout the VCU Health System that allows us to provide for each patient's unique special needs. For children who require outpatient anesthesia for dental rehabilitation in a hospital setting, our faculty and residents provide these services in the Ambulatory Care Center of VCU Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR).

We also have faculty and residents on call 24 hours a day, every day, to meet your child's emergency or trauma dental needs through the Pediatric Emergency Department of VCU Medical Center.
